1. ​​​​​​​The vehicle must have been properly registered at the Department of Land Transport; a vehicle with temporary (red) license plate is not acceptable.
   
2. The customer must have paid all installments up to date, including any fees due for late payments with KLeasing.
3. The vehicle must be in a serviceable condition and has been brought in for inspection on the date of the request for transfer of auto financing.
4. The document submission fee is 400 Baht, to be paid on the date that the request for transfer is submitted (the receipt/tax invoice will be issued in the name of the current financing customer).
5. The transferee and guarantor must each have an income at least twice the monthly installment for the new financing.
6. The transferor, transferee and guarantor must all appear together at the KLeasing office to sign the new financing contract in the presence of KLeasing staff.

Transfer of Auto Financing Expenses

• Two installments are to be paid in advance
• Stamp duty for auto loan contract (for ownership transfer) equals 0.1 percent of the remaining loan amount.
• Fees for changing the name of the car possessor and car inspection, totaling 1,200 Baht​
  
• Type-1 vehicle insurance premiums

  Note:

  • If the remaining term of existing compulsory insurance is less than 3 months, the transferee must undertake new type-1 vehicle insurance coverage via KLeasing.
  • If the transferee is a juristic person, the current Type-1 insurance policy must be cancelled and KLeasing must be requested to undertake new coverage for the transferee.
• Car annual tax and/or additional taxes levied for a juristic person

  Note:

  • If the annual tax payment will be due within 3 months of the transfer approval date, the transferee must pay for the tax renewal fee along with the change of possessor’s name.
  • If the transferee is a juristic person, the transfer of auto financing will be subject to additional taxation in accordance with the Department of Land Transport’s statutes.

Payment Conditions

​The transferor or transferee must settle all expenses toward the transfer of auto financing to complete the process within 30 days of the transfer approval date; otherwise, the process will have to be restarted.
